Projects are 'orders' I place myself.  They always consist of models we do not offer in our anglo, english or duet programs.  The project currently on the drawing board is an:

 

         English Bass concertina

         specifications:

  • 48 key double action. Compass: One octave lower than a 48 key tenor (starting at the
    2nd C under middle C).

  • Octagonal, (stretched). Design based on the W-E1 models.

  • Materials: maples (European/American), mahogany, spruce.

  • Reeds: traditional concertina, steel reeds in individual brass frames.

  • Flat ends (either mahogany, ebonized, amboyna (veneer) or walnut)

  • number of instruments in this series: 5

  • estimated delivery: 2011

 

         Ordering procedure:

          Step 1: Registration
                       If interested in this instrument, contact us.  At this moment we take names
                       only. There is no deposit required.  As soon as the price is known, and we're
                       ready to start with the production of the 5 instruments, everyone on the
                       registration list will be contacted in the order we received the registration.
                       We will keep going down the list until we have 5 people that want to move
                       to the order list.
      
          Step 2: Order list
                       The 5 people that moved to the order list are required to pay a 5% deposit. 
                       They can choose the type of wood for the ends and other options from the
                       English options list if applicable.  Delivery is estimated within 6 months after
                       the deposit is received.
